Revamping the Flamingo Las Vegas: A New Era for the Go Pool Experience

The Flamingo Las Vegas is set to unveil an innovative redesign for its Go Pool area this spring, signifying a significant departure from its previous aesthetic. Stepping away from the once-popular tropical themes that featured lagoons, caves, and waterfalls, the new design draws heavily from midcentury-modern and retro-deco architecture, aiming to create a fresh beach resort atmosphere. This overhaul is not merely an update; it encompasses a complete reconstruction, showcasing a commitment to enhancing the guest experience while maintaining the resort’s vibrant legacy.

According to Dan Walsh, senior vice president and general manager of Flamingo Las Vegas, this transformative initiative acknowledges the enduring loyalty and preferences of their guests. The new concept has been crafted from the ground up, indicating a bold vision that suggests a willingness to embrace change rather than merely adding to the existing structure. By incorporating soft, earthy tones along with pastels, the renovation seeks to set a more contemporary and inviting mood that resonates with today’s discerning travelers.

At the core of the $20 million investment is an expansive multipool complex designed exclusively for guests aged 21 and older. It features five distinct temperature-controlled pools situated on varying levels, catering to a myriad of preferences and creating a dynamic water experience. A focal point of this new complex is the 30-seat swim-up bar, which enhances social interaction while guests enjoy their refreshments in the refreshing waters.

Complementing the pools, the redesign introduces 33 VIP cabanas outfitted with luxurious in-water couches and daybeds, offering a premium poolside experience. As part of the modern amenities, there will be a cutting-edge sound system, mood lighting for nighttime enjoyment, and enhanced surfacing designed for maximum comfort. Notably, an impressive “rain curtain” waterfall, cascading into the main pool, will serve as both a visual centerpiece and a soothing audio backdrop.

The new Go Pool menu promises a variety of enticing options, with poolside bites that cater to various tastes alongside shareable cocktails, frozen daiquiris, and mojitos. Such offerings aim not just to satiate hunger but to elevate the entire poolside social experience, aligning perfectly with the resort’s intent to meld leisure with culinary delight.

Access to the Go Pool will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with both hotel guests and non-hotel guests aged 21 and older welcomed for complimentary general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. This inclusive approach reflects the Flamingo’s desire to attract a diverse audience and engage both loyal patrons and new visitors alike.

For families, the Flamingo continues to provide the Family Pool, which remains adjacent to the reimagined Go Pool, ensuring that guests of all ages can enjoy their Las Vegas experience.

As the Flamingo Las Vegas embarks on this bold chapter, it not only redefines its poolscape but also reaffirms its dedication to providing engaging and memorable experiences for guests, reaffirming its place in the competitive landscape of Las Vegas resorts.
